First Launch Setup

Because FileSizeScanner is distributed outside the App Store, macOS will ask you to confirm the first time. Here's how:

Download & unzip Move FileSizeScanner.app to your /Applications folder

Try to open the app macOS shows a warning: "Apple could not verify…" — click Dismiss (not Trash)

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security Scroll down to the Security section
4
Click "Open Anyway" Next to the FileSizeScanner entry — confirm once and you're done
System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway
✅ This confirmation is only needed once. After that, FileSizeScanner opens normally with a double-click.
